Während meiner Zeit in Grasse führte mich mein täglicher Weg zum Unterricht an einer kleinen Pâtisserie gleich um die Ecke vorbei. Noch bevor ich ihr Schaufenster erreichte, strömte mir der Duft frisch zubereiteter Köstlichkeiten entgegen. Saftiger Apfel, Mandarine und Erdbeere vermischten sich mit dem feinen Aroma von Orangenblüten und einem warmen Hauch Rum.

Aus der geöffneten Tür drangen die verführerischen Noten von geschmolzenem Karamell und braunem Zucker. Cremige Kokosnuss verlieh ihnen eine exotische Fülle, während zartes Maiglöckchen wie ein frischer Blumenstrauss auf der Ladentheke wirkte. Jeden Morgen entstand dieselbe Versuchung, süss, warm und beinahe unmöglich zu ignorieren.

Im Inneren lagen Pralinen, feines Gebäck und kleine Desserts dicht nebeneinander. Der Duft von Bourbon-Vanille und Zimt erfüllte den Raum, durchzogen von rosa Pfeffer und einer samtigen Wärme aus Ambra und Moschus. Kaschmirholz, Zedernholz und Patchouli verliehen dieser gourmandigen Erinnerung eine elegante, lang anhaltende Tiefe.

Le Péché Exquis ist meine olfaktorische Erinnerung an diese Pâtisserie in Grasse, an den täglichen Weg zum Unterricht und an die köstliche Versuchung, die mich jedes Mal für einen Augenblick stehen bleiben liess. Fruchtig und leuchtend im Auftakt, cremig und karamellisiert im Herzen und warm, würzig sowie unwiderstehlich süss im Ausklang.

Ein Duft wie eine exquisite Sünde, der man sich nur zu gerne hingibt.
Description English

Scent Profile. Fruity, citrusy, floral, tropical, creamy, spicy, gourmand and sweet.

Top Notes. Apple, mandarin, orange blossom, strawberry, rum.

Heart Notes. Coconut, caramel, brown sugar, lily of the valley.

Base Notes. Cashmere wood, cinnamon, amber, patchouli, praline, Bourbon vanilla, musk, pink pepper, cedarwood.

During my time in Grasse, my daily walk to class took me past a small pâtisserie just around the corner. Even before I reached its window, the aroma of freshly prepared delicacies drifted towards me. Juicy apple, mandarin and strawberry mingled with the delicate scent of orange blossom and a warm touch of rum.

Through the open door came the seductive notes of melted caramel and brown sugar. Creamy coconut gave them an exotic richness, while delicate lily of the valley recalled a fresh bouquet resting on the counter. Every morning brought the same temptation, sweet, warm and almost impossible to resist.

Inside, pralines, fine pastries and small desserts were arranged closely beside one another. The scent of Bourbon vanilla and cinnamon filled the room, accented by pink pepper and the velvety warmth of amber and musk. Cashmere wood, cedarwood and patchouli gave this gourmand memory an elegant and enduring depth.

Le Péché Exquis is my olfactory memory of that pâtisserie in Grasse, of my daily walk to class and of the delicious temptation that made me pause for a moment every time I passed. Fruity and luminous in the opening, creamy and caramelised at its heart, warm, spicy and irresistibly sweet in its final impression.

A fragrance like an exquisite sin, one to which we surrender all too willingly.
