John Brown Haute Parfumerie is an independent luxury fragrance house founded in the heart of Zurich in 2026 by independent perfumer John Brown.

After ten years in the fragrance industry and creating numerous fragrances for other brands, John Brown further refined his expertise by successfully completing The Fundamentals of Fragrance at The Fragrance Foundation UK Academy under the guidance of Roja Dove in 2024. However, it was not only the training itself, but also his encounter with Roja Dove and Dove’s uncompromising dedication to haute parfumerie that inspired him to no longer devote his craft exclusively to other brands. John Brown decided to follow his own path, bring his personal vision to life, and establish his own fragrance house: John Brown Haute Parfumerie.

The house was founded as a platform for his personal ideas, emotions, and olfactory visions, allowing John Brown to express his distinctive creative identity without compromise. As both the founder and perfumer behind the brand, he personally develops every fragrance and shapes each composition with his own olfactory signature.

As a pioneer of modern artistic haute parfumerie, the house combines exceptional fragrance creations with masterful craftsmanship, carefully selected raw materials, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. The name John Brown first emerged in the world of perfumery in 2017 and has since become inseparably connected to his work as a perfumer.

After a decade of creating for others, John Brown Haute Parfumerie marks the beginning of a new chapter: a house through which he can finally bring his own ideas, emotions, and fragrances to life. As both the founder and the perfumer behind the brand, John Brown Haute Parfumerie personally shapes every composition according to his own distinctive olfactory vision.

A fragrance connects us to our emotions, our memories, and our personality. It gives us confidence, presence, and that special quality that makes each of us unique.

That is the magic I wanted to capture.

In 2024, I successfully completed The Fundamentals of Fragrance at The Fragrance Foundation UK Academy under the guidance of Roja Dove. However, it was not only his uncompromising dedication to haute parfumerie and his extraordinary perspective on the world of fragrance that left a lasting impression on me. Above all, it was the personal words he shared with me:

“Do not waste your talent on others. We can share the number one spot. Follow your own path.” Roja Dove

Those words marked a defining turning point in my journey. They inspired me to no longer devote my creative and technical talent exclusively to others, but to dedicate it to my own vision. I decided to follow my own path and express my personal olfactory signature.

Following this training, I dedicated myself entirely to developing my own fragrances for two years. It was an intense journey filled with creative challenges, countless trials, and personal highs and lows. Every formula was developed, reinterpreted, and refined until it fully reflected my vision and met my uncompromising standards of quality.

After two years of intensive work, the moment had finally arrived to present my creations to the world and bring John Brown Haute Parfumerie to life not only with me as its founder and creative visionary, but also as the perfumer personally responsible for developing every fragrance. Each composition is shaped by my own ideas, emotions, experiences, and olfactory vision.

For me, fragrance is far more than an accessory. When you discover the right composition, it becomes a part of your identity and tells the personal story of its wearer.

As the perfumer behind the brand, I approach every creation with the ambition to make it the very best it can be. My goal is not only to create an exceptional fragrance, but also to help people feel more confident, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin.
